Sometimes giving a diet, is like a band-aid. It works in the short term, but as soon as the diet is broken or something happens, we are back to the beginning.
Statistics show the 2/3 people regain their weight after being on a diet or a number of diets. This is due to many psychological and physiological factors.
For lasting changes - the change must come from within AND you must really want to change. I can help coach you through these changes.
Diane Stride's weight management plans focus on making incremental, long-term sustainable changes to clients' relationships with food.
The plan is either guiding my clients with an eating plan that works for them.
Other times it is a more psycho-dynamic model where we explore:
- what your emotional and behavioural goals are around eating.
- what has worked in the past
- where are you now compared to where you want to be
- how can we work together to get you to where you want to be i.e. what information/strategies are needed
At the initial session, we work through this together so that you know what your options are moving forwards.
The initial session is up to an hour and the cost is $150
Follow up sessions depend on the approach that seems like it will be the best fit - this is discussed at the first session.
For some people eating has become a struggle and knowledge is often not the answer.
